Welcome address by Boško Vučurević, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Vojvodina

Dear business colleagues,

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Vojvodina, as a gathering place of business people, a place of exchange of contacts, quality information, ideas and experience is completely at your service.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Vojvodina fosters constant improvement of the economic environment of the AP Vojvodina being also a link between business people and relevant institutions.

Our main goal is the constant improvement of the competitiveness of the economy of the AP Vojvodina as this accelerates the economic growth of the state. By presenting the investment potential of the AP Vojvodina in the countries of the region and beyond, we detect potential business partners for our members. In this way, we make it possible for the business people of Vojvodina to expand their businesses to foreign markets but also to stregthen their presence in the existing ones.

Only by your active participation in all the activities of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Vojvodina can we achieve our common goals.

After the new Law on Chambers of Commerce came into force on 1st January 2017, which established a unique chamber system, the Vojvodina Chamber of Commerce and Industry reorganized its operations and introduced a new systematization, which resulted in the rationalization of their operations. The Vojvodina Chamber of Commerce and Industry operates now within its three associations – the Agriculture Association, the Industry Association and the Services Association, constituted of a total 11 groups.

Within its regular activities in 2018, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Vojvodina will pay special attention to the organization of public debates in the AP Vojvodina and present to the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia the standpoints and opinions of business people on bills and other regulations of importance for the economy. It will continue to cooperate with the Provincial Government and its agencies on defining and implementing development projects in the AP Vojvodina, as well as taking action at the authorities of the AP Vojvodina to regulate issues in spatial planning and the development of agriculture, water management, forestry, hunting, fishing, tourism, catering, spa and healthcare, environment protection, industry, craft, road, river and rail transport and road management. The Vojvodina Chamber of Commerce and Industry will organize fairs and other economic events in the country and abroad together with the Provincial Government as well as take independent action based on mutually agreed plans. We will also represent the economy of the AP Vojvodina in the field of inter-regional cooperation, together with the Provincial Government.

In the end, I would like to invite you to become even more closely involved in the activities of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Vojvodina and thus contribute to the development and empowerment of the economy of the AP Vojvodina, and thus of the entire Republic of Serbia.
